1. The iShoot BP-50D is a battery grip from Canon BG-E2N which is used for Canon EOS 50D/40D/30D/20D DSLR, and it can hold two BP-511/511A batteries or six AA alkaline batteries.
2. It is also equipped with a vertical-grip shutter button, dial, AE lock/FE lock button, and AF point selection button to enable shooting in the same way as a horizontal grip.
3. It is equipped with an independent ON/OFF switch. Switching to <ON> makes the BP-50D buttons and dials function in the same way as those on the camera.
4. It has a battery compartment cover slot, a hand strap guide pin, and a 1/4" thread for being used to tripods.
5. It is fitted with a protective cover and an AA alkaline battery magazine BGM-E2.
6. Hand Strap E-1 (sold separately) can be used for enabling a more secure grip. And battery pack BP-511A/511/512/514 (sold separately) is also available for longer time using.

Caution:
1. Please turn the camera off before attaching the BP-50D to it or detaching the BP-50D from it in order to avoiding damages to the camera.
2. Be sure to attach the BP-50D to the camera before loading the batteries in the BP-50D, otherwise, the results of the battery check may not be displayed properly.
3. If only one battery is used, it may be inserted in either the right or left side. If two battery packs are inserted, power is supplied simultaneously by both battery packs.
4. AA alkaline batteries may be used, but not recommended. It’s only for emergencies, and six same brand new batteries are required, otherwise, the battery grip possibly does not work.
